The course measures 2781m Par 35 with two par 3s ranging from 141-172m, six par 4s ranging from 256-390m and the 433m Par 5 7th.
There are 9 black soil scrapes with alterate tees to play 18 holes which change a few pars and length on some holes.
There are no bunkers here but there is a natural gully/creek across the course with up to 4 natural ponds/dams.
The course is fairly open with minimal trees and natural grass fairways. Fees are $5.
Course access is 500m south of the freeway westbound on-ramp to Yass and about 1km south of the village centre. Gunning is a small village in the Southern Tablelands of around 500 people approximately 580m above sea level about 40km east of Yass and 50km west of Goulburn.
